Jammu Kashmir: 4 soldiers including 2 officers martyred in encounter with terrorists
India lost two army officers and two soldiers in action after a fierce encounter broke in kalakot forests of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir against Pakistan sponsored terrorists.
The encounter started after army's special forces and police launched a a joint operation following intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the forest area.
Unfortunately, two army Captains and two soldiers lost their lives in this fierce gun battle with the terrorists.
Indian Army Officers Captain Shubham Gupta of 9 Para Special Forces and Captain MV Pranjal of 63 Rashtriya Rifles made supreme sacrifice along with two soldiers, whose names yet to be released.
A major from 9 Para (SF) and another soldier, both wounded, are currently hospitalized.
The Pir Panjal forest in Jammu and Kashmir have proved to be a challenge for the security forces as the terrorists use the dense forests to conceal their positions, taking advantage of the topography.
